MacroLedgr Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating a MacroLedgr account or using the MacroLedgr app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.

2. The service

MacroLedgr is a nutrition tracking application that helps users log meals, track macronutrients, plan meals, scan barcodes and food photos, and monitor progress toward health goals. The App is designed for the Australian market and uses product data from Australian supermarkets.

3. Accounts

- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account

  • You must provide accurate information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must not share your account with others
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

    4. Free and Premium tiers

    Free tier: Manual food logging, barcode scanning (unlimited), 10 lifetime AI photo scans, 3 lifetime daily meal plans, basic macro tracking, water tracking, Rewards Club access.

    Premium tier ($7.99 AUD/month or $69.99 AUD/year): Everything in Free, plus unlimited AI photo scans, unlimited meal plans, all recipes with Elevate mode, grocery lists, wearable sync, store filtering and pricing, weekly plans.

    Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day Premium trial. No credit card required. Trial does not auto-convert to a paid subscription.

    5. Subscriptions and billing

    - Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's subscription settings
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods, except as required by Australian Consumer Law

    6. Rewards Club

    - Earn 10 days of Premium access for each friend who joins using your referral link

  • Referral rewards are applied after the referred user creates an account
  • We reserve the right to modify the rewards program at any time with reasonable notice
  • Abuse of the referral system (fake accounts, self-referrals) will result in reward forfeiture and potential account suspension

    7. Nutritional information disclaimer

    MacroLedgr is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

    - Nutritional data is sourced from product labels, Open Food Facts, and user contributions. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee it.

  • AI photo scanning provides estimates, not precise measurements
  • Calorie and macro targets are calculated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, which provides general estimates
  • Always consult a healthcare professional, dietitian, or doctor before making significant dietary changes
  • If you have a medical condition, eating disorder, or are pregnant, consult your doctor before using the App
  • MacroLedgr is not a substitute for professional nutritional advice

    8. User content

    - You retain ownership of any data, photos, or content you create in the App

  • You grant us a licence to process your content to provide the service
  • We may use anonymised, aggregated data for analytics and product improvement
  • We will not share your personal content with third parties without your consent

    9. Acceptable use

    You must not:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code
  • Use automated tools to scrape data from the App
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Abuse the referral system
  • Use the App in a way that could harm other users

    10. Intellectual property

    - MacroLedgr, the MacroLedgr logo, and "Every gram, accounted for." are trademarks of PureSlate Pty Ltd

  • The App's design, code, and content are protected by copyright
  • Product names, logos, and trademarks of supermarkets (Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, IGA) belong to their respective owners

    11. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months prior to the claim
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded

    12. Termination

    - You can delete your account at any time via Settings or by contacting support

  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms
  • Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days

    13. Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

    14. Governing law

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Western Australia, Australia.
