By creating a MacroLedgr account or using the MacroLedgr app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the App.
MacroLedgr is a nutrition tracking application that helps users log meals, track macronutrients, plan meals, scan barcodes and food photos, and monitor progress toward health goals.
The App is built for Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Food data differs by country: Australian and New Zealand food data comes from product labels and retailer product information, and Singapore food data includes the Health Promotion Board's SG FoodID dataset. Data sources are listed in the App under Settings, and at macroledgr.com.au/data-sources.
Some features depend on local data and are not available everywhere. Meal plans, supermarket selection and grocery lists are available only where we hold the data to support them. We will say so in the App rather than substitute another country's data.

Free tier: Manual food logging, barcode scanning (unlimited), 5 AI photo scans in total, 3 daily meal plans in total, basic macro tracking, water tracking, Rewards Club access.
Premium tier ($7.99 AUD/month or $69.99 AUD/year): Everything in Free, plus AI photo scanning, unlimited daily and weekly meal plans, all recipes with Elevate mode, grocery lists, wearable sync, and store filtering and pricing.
Prices are shown in Australian dollars, which is our base price. If your App Store or Google Play account is in another country, Apple or Google converts the price and charges you in your own currency. The exact amount you will be charged is always shown by the store before you confirm the subscription, and that amount prevails over any figure shown here.
Free trial: A 7-day free trial of Premium is offered through the App Store or Google Play when you subscribe. It gives full Premium access for 7 days. It is a store subscription offer, so a payment method is required and it converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the 7 days unless you cancel first. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you are not charged. Eligibility is decided by Apple or Google, normally once per account. MacroLedgr does not grant any separate trial of its own.
Fair use limit on AI photo scanning. Every AI photo scan is a request to an external service, so Premium AI photo scanning — including during the free trial — is subject to a fair use limit of 20 scans per 24 hours. The limit resets once a day. It is set well above normal use — three meals, two snacks and a retry on each is about ten — and exists to prevent automated or abusive use, not to restrict genuine tracking. All other Premium features are unlimited. We will give reasonable notice in the App before reducing this limit.

MacroLedgr is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
- Nutritional data is sourced from product labels, Open Food Facts, and user contributions. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee it.
- You retain ownership of any data, photos, or content you create in the App
The App can import a recipe from a social media post or another source you choose. An imported recipe is a private copy for your own use: it is visible only to you, it is not added to our food database, and it is not shared with other users.
You are responsible for what you import. The person who created a recipe post keeps their rights in the words and the photograph, and a post being public does not mean it is free to reuse. Only import content you are allowed to copy for personal use, and do not republish it. Where we can identify the creator, the App shows their name and links back to the original post.
You must not:

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- You can delete your account at any time via Settings or by contacting support
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
Nothing in this clause takes away any right you have to bring a claim, or to rely on consumer protection law, in the country where you live. If you are in New Zealand, that includes the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. If you are in Singapore, it includes the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003.
